THINK PINK!
There's something incredibly charming about a cake smash session, especially when it embraces its theme through and through. In this case-pink! I had the pleasure of photographing Luna's pink-themed cake smash which was nothing short of spectacular. From the pinky-hued decor to the adorable birthday girl, every detail came together to create a picture-perfect celebration.
SETTING THE SCENE
The backdrop for this special occasion was made of a solid pink background and a balloon arch. We adorned the space with pastel pink butterflies, cutesy decor, and large wooden letters that spelled out ONE. The centerpiece, of course, was the cake—a confectionary masterpiece frosted in various shades of pink and topped with fondant roses that matched the birthday princess's chic dress (in pink, of course)!
THE CAKE SMASH MOMENT
Before we got into any sweets we did some candid portraits on a clean white backdrop, in our baby swing and of Luna interacting with some toys and decor. which let Luna's adorable smile really shine! But we quickly moved on to the real excitement. Don't want to keep the birthday girl waiting! In addition to the candid moments, we also focused on capturing the finer details that made this session unique. Close-up shots of the cake, the intricate decorations, and the birthday girl's tiny hands reaching out were all part of the narrative. These details help tell the full story of the celebration and are cherished memories for the family. When she saw the cake Luna dove right in. Let's just say that the bath afterward was very much needed. And it gave us the opportunity for some more adorable photo ops. Luna was a natural in front of the camera and we loved her photoshoot as much as she did!
